Jason Heyward was a Prep All-American 1st baseman for the Henry County High School, and went on to be selected as the 14th pick in the 2007 MLB Draft. In just two short years, Jason Heyward has gone from Gulf Coast League affiliate for the Atlanta Braves, to being named the 2009 Baseball America Minor League Player of the Year.
Jason Heyward has many experts comparing him to All-Star caliber players, with his tremendous combination of size, speed, and arm strength. He also is considered a tremendous hitter, batting .323 with 17 homers and 63 rbi in just 99 games last year.
